*An old Black an white TV show starts playing.. the film leads with a stamp stating: Un-aired episodes of "Jupiter Jones: Galactic adventurer!" Episode 23: The End of The Universe.*

*dialogue scrolls by: This Three part episode was cut from the networks due to content deemed unsuitable by the TV networks at the time, and was followed by a permanent cancellation of the series and blacklisting of the writer... though the exact circumstances and reasons remain unknown.*

*Intro music begins to play, the title rolls by with scenes of a handsome young man, dressed in the 50's idea of "futuristic" attire blasting aliens with his trusty ray guns and saving alien princesses.*

"Previously, on Jupiter Jones! Our Beloved captain had once more defeated the evil Emperor Destronicus, the seemingly mechanical menace! And was on his way to meet the Leerain Princess, Kalia for his reward!

Unbeknownst to him, The Leerain princess had long since been possesed by a body swapping entity, who had been secretly funding and controlling Destronicus for Eons. Having mistaken our hero's luck and skill for actual power, it had arranged a private meeting with him in order to steal his body and then destroy his supporters with his new doomsday device!"

*The video goes on.. depicting the scenes with an epic flair.. The first part ending with the hero, now in the princess's body, unconscious and being dragged away. A message appears, proclaiming the body swap was supposedly what was considered unwholesome by the standards of the time... but the reaction to it seemed strangely disproportionate.*

*The second part starts with similar fan-fair to the first... recapping part one.. and then going into the hero.. now heroine.. escaping her captors while trying to learn how her "new" body works. The end message noted that the portrayal of the situation was "darker, more realistic" than the tone of all previous episodes.*

*The finale dove right into the action, as our heroine went to work defeating the guards and flunkies as she worked her way to her Nemesis, to put an end to "Him" and his Doomsday-weapon!*

*The final fight was unsuprisingly swift as the creature discovered that Jupiter Jones was merely a very skilled human.. and had no powers at all! Pleaing for mercy, Destronicus edged toward his device's self destruct and lunged! Slamming the button that would turn the weapon's power against itself and tear the universe asunder!*

*The final episode faded out and the text re-appeared.*

"Shortly after the networks banned the show, several unusual things happened. The writer died of an unidentified illness, and half the actors and staff vanished without a trace... further inquiries could not turn up any evidence of any of them even /existing./ The others were located in varying states of poor health. Almost all appeared to be in a near comatose state.. their minds apparently lost to something as of yet unexplained. Only one seemed coherent, but was unable to even recall filming such a show."

Unusual Energy Signature detected within Braniac ship.
Multiple energy spikes detected within.
Oracle Intervenes and finds a subject matching the description of the missing Actress from 60 years ago... exhibiting powers matching those of the "Princess" from the film, proclaiming herself to be "Captain Alex Jones."
Subject is assisted in escaping and brought to the watchtower for debriefing.

~~Subject: "Jupiter Jones"~~

*audio file begins playback, accompanied by images and text diagrams*

Initial analysis of the subject indicates that, despite her otherwise human appearance, she is indeed an alien lifeform.

Scans indicate some rough similarities with both human and kryptonian biology, with the addition of several unidentified organ structures and one positively identified structure...

The identified structure culminates in a pair of attennae that.. when laid back.. blend seamlessly with her unusual hair coloration.

Unfortunantly, Mrs.- Excuse me- CAPTAIN. Jones... is unable to elaborate on the full details of their function beyond simple sensory impute.

Other tests seem to concur that this body was not her original one.. and she has remained entirely truthful with us thus far.

I am recommending she be required to attend therapy sessions to deal with the issue... thankfully she seems to be handling things well.

Furthermore, we need to acclimate her to our world's cultural norms.. while she is unlikely to become violent.. her values seem to stem from our 50s.. and the values and behavior of the modern world may be something of a nasty shock.

Lets get this stuff started!
~~~~~~Act 1 Scene 1~~~~~~~~

Captain Jones sat tiredly at her desk in the watchtower's living spaces as she slowly and awkwardly clicked her way though the many files on the simple laptop that Oracle supplied. It was embarrassing enough that she had to have someone show her how to use it.. not to mention it was easily 12 times faster and a hundred times smaller than any computer she's ever seen.. even her old ship's computer took up half a wall.. and had none of the "features" of this one.. save for the fact she could simply talk to hers and get what she wanted.

She had long since stopped looking at the scant few bits of information relating to the odd circumstances surrounding the mysterious TV show and the people who produced it. The stubborn instance in her mind that this was important somehow, clashed with her utter lack of real investigative skills and ethos of simply hunting down someone to find the answers for her.

Now she lazily picked through the search engine.. looking for something to do or at least divert her attention. Model cars.. model planes.. model ships? She paused for a moment.. revising her search. Model space ships? The pages showed a number of vessels of interesting design.. some were real.. others fantastic.. but only one seemed to grab her attention. "Vintage Rocket Ship." it was a simple model.. only vaguely resembling her ship.. but it gave her an idea.

She revised her search "Vintage Rocket ships," "Old Rocket ships," "Toy rocket ships?" The three searches kept bringing up a single site called "Vintage toys and models." She wasn't sure why.. but she thought.. that maybe.. another clue could be found.

Upon entering the site, the screen displayed long shelves of old toys and models, with simple links to a picture gallery as to what they have in stock. Unsure.. she went to the alphabetical listing.. first under J.. hoping it would start with the same name of the series... but only found a few unrelated items. She scowled, and tried a few other things.. her name.. the name of her ship, Starwhisper, even the names of her nemisis didn't return any results.

She leaned back and made a disgusted sigh before looking once more at the screen. Only two other links sticking out in her mind. The first, labeled unknown toys, was a small collection of toys that had no boxes or packaging, and hadn't been identified by the seller... none of which stuck out in her mind either. The other link read "Vintage toy catalog archives." she clicked that.. and started sorting through the years. Clearly.. if there was a show.. and toys were made of the other shows.. certainly there should of been some of Jupiter Jones, right?

Eventually she found it.. the pages blurry from time and poor scanning.. but legible enough for her to read.

"Christmas special! Jupiter Jones ship with Captain Jones and alien princess figures, 20% off for whole set!"

Jones blinked, she could hardly believe it as she was seeing it. A spot on replica of her ship, her male body.. and.. her current body as the "Alien Princess."

She tapped the button that would print the page.. and then changed her search parameters.. if they made a toy of it then someone outside the networks would have had something to do with the producers.. maybe.. just maybe there would be other records.. other clues. She noted the name of the manufacturer and the serial number... perhaps now she could settle this mystery once and for all.

Once that information was entered she finally got results.. a simple address to an old toy factory.. and a name... she bolted for the doors.. not even bothering to turn off her computer.

Her screen.. glowing in the darkened room only read.. "Geppetto Toys."
