re: How to Report Toxic Players

1. Most importantly there has to be something for the Mods to go on in-game. The player must had done some action (most are logged) or said something in a text chat channel. In your chat window, you can start the process by creating a mark in the log by typing:

/report "character name" Community Standards

Note: If the character name is just one word, you don't need the quotes.

Additionally, it's good to take screenshots and even video if you have that ready.

2. Logon to the DCUO website. Then go to: https://help.daybreakgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

3. From Submit a Request, choose: I have a problem with a character, quest, item or another player

4. Fill out the form. Be sure to include:
- the offending character's name. It's also good to verify with a census link to make sure you get the right character. It's also good to save the census link when reporting an offensive name because you can reload it the next day and see what the devs renamed them to.
- mention that you made the in-game /report at $Date / $Time
- choose "Community Standards" for Category
- put your character name for "Character Name" I also put in brackets (my character) just in case a mod interprets the form differently.
- Write the description like a business letter, with complete sentences and no mispellings. Bans tend to go through with polite, well-written messages.

5. Attach screenshots.

6. Submit. You won't really know the result of a ticket except for the offensive name reports, but something you can do is add the name to your friend list and see if they disappear from their regular pattern.
