The story of Jayde Falcon is a sad tale of loss, murder, revenge and betrayal.
Born on Thanagar, Jayde is not like the typical Thanagarian. Her wings are real, not created from Nth Metal like those of Hawkgirl. She is the product of years of genetic enhancement to create the perfect soldier.
When her sister, Sheira Sanders (the original Hawkgirl) proved a formidable warrior, her parents were approached and asked to participate in a project to create an elite Legion of Thanagarian warriors. They accepted and after months of procedures Jayde and 11 others were born. Labeled The Emerald Legion, they were taken from their parents and plunged into a world of combat, learning to wield any weapon, use flight as not a means of movement, but as a means to dominate an enemy in battle, and she soon emerged as one of the best the Legion had produced.
The death of her sister Sheira brought great sadness to Jayde, but she soon learned her sister had been re-incarnated into Kendra Saunders. Overjoyed at the news, Jayde sort Kendra out and soon it was as if Sheira had never left. Jayde taught Kendra all she knew of combat and at the on set of the Rann-Thanagar War, Kendra was recruited by Troia (aka Donna Troy) and the 2 fought side by side.
When Kendra was murdered by Sue Dibney and turned into a Black Lantern Jayde became enraged and swore revenge. She violated the Legions code and left Thanagar in search of Dibney, only to learn that Kendra had been resurrected by The White Lanterns, but that she had become Sheira Hall, all trace of Kendra gone.
Jayde's rage was unrelenting. She sort of White Lantern's blaming them for yet again loosing her sister, killing several. New's of these acts reached Thanagar and Jayde was banished, death awaiting should she return. Angry and Vengeful, Jayde wondered seeking refuge and thought she had found it, with Circe and The Society.
Promising to return her sister to her, Circe used Jayde to lure Wonder Woman away from Themyscira, so she could use her Beastomorphs to conquer it and enslave the amazons.
The ensuing battle was brutal and long, neither warrior able to gain the upper hand until Superman intervened and Jayde was quickly overcome and beaten. It was then she learned of Circe's manipulation and betrayal from both Wonder Woman and Superman. Enraged, Jayde flew to Themyscira, and after a short battle, defeated Circe and assisted Wonder Woman in liberating the Island.
Telling her story, Superman took Jayde to The Watchtower where, Jayde was re-united with her sister, Kendra, after Shiera Hall's soul had left her body and moved on.
Overjoyed, Jayde accepted Superman's offer and, with him as her Mentor, joined the Justice League. It was here Jayde met and joined the Justice Girl's, a loyal league of hero's fighting side by side all forms of evil and injustice they find, determined to right the wrongs she has done, knowing when the time comes, she will once again fight by her sister's side against an enemy like no other, Brainiac.
When the Exobytes rained down onto Earth, Jayde was infused with the ability to harness and control the moisture in the air, able to use it as a weapon or to form protective barriers for both her and her fellow League members.

Defining attribute:- Unlike others of Thanagar, Jayde's wings are real. The intense green color and her ability to fly and maneuver at speed, earned her the name, The Jayde Falcon, though she only uses the name, Jayde Falcon. Her wings also change color to red when she is en-raged.
