Charity Tonun has no memories of her family. Her earliest memory is of that fateful day that Circe found her crouching in fear in the back of an alley. Circe had taken on mortal wounds at the hands of Wonder Woman and was running out of options quickly. In the course of running down an alley, she tripped over the foot of Charity and started to lash out. She stopped when she saw the young girl reach over and heal the sword wound that crippled her knee. Realizing that she had found a rare healer, Circe scooped up Charity and ran to the nearest safehouse for the Society.

Once back at the Hall of Doom, Circe began the cruel process of turning the healer into a force for evil. Once grown, Charity noticed that all levels of villains were willing to pay her for her healing abilities. She became rich and powerful, and often enjoyed the finer things in Metropolis.

It was here that she met Zane Thanatos. Both were powerful in the ways of sorcery, but disguised as normal people, neither knew that they were on opposite sides. Romance blossomed into true love, and soon they were inseparable.

But all was not bliss...

Zane discovered Charity\'s villainous ways as she discovered that she was with child. They ran away to a remote area in space where they could be together.

Sadly, neither the League nor the Society were about to let two powerful entities run away, particularly with a child on the way.

Surprise was had by all when Charity gave birth to twins: Hannibal Nike and Luna Vestara. Neither child had the sorcerous powers of the parents, but seemed to share mastery over Electricity. Both were innate healers, like Charity.

In order to protect the children, Zane and Charity agreed to go back to their respective factions, each bringing a child and lying about the existence of the other child.

Once back in the hands of the Society, Charity had no choice but to watch Luna grow up to be cruel healer and Mistress of Electricty. Charity, seeing this unfold, warned Luna to stay away from Hannibal as he could possibly destroy her. Charity never disclosed the origins or relation of Hannibal.

Now Charity spends her days at the Hall of Doom, hoping that Luna will be content doing what she does and not eventually hunt down Hannibal and unknowingly expose the truth...
