The Star Sprite comes from a race of celestial beings who alternate between corporeal and ethereal states as they migrate through space. As an infant, Sprite was unable to become ethereal and thus unable to follow her people and her parents would soon be unable to care for her. Having little choice, her mother sought help from the most trusted corporeal being she knew... one of the heroines of Earth. The heroine took in the little sprite and did her best to teach her what little she knew of her people and train her to control her powers. Following in her guardian's footsteps, Star Sprite has doned the mantel of hero. Her race enjoys a long life span and though she's been on Earth for some time, she still looks very young and sometimes sees the world with a child-like wonder that the criminal element can't seem to diminish.
